My property journey

Every move taught me to look at the whole picture.

My path through Singapore property has included an HDB home, an EC upgrade and a move shaped by changing needs. These experiences inform how I help clients plan their next steps.

The milestones

Learning through each move.

A personal timeline, shared in broad strokes. Property decisions are individual, and past experience is not a promise of future returns.

    2009

    Resale HDB

    A first home

My first step into property ownership began with a resale HDB flat. It taught me how much a home decision can shape everyday life.

  2. 02

    2016–17

    Executive Condominium

    An upgrade

Moving from an HDB home to an Executive Condominium gave me first-hand experience of weighing an upgrade, its costs and its trade-offs.

    A larger home

    A considered next move

I sold my earlier EC and moved to a larger home in the same development—a reminder that a move can be about changing needs as much as changing location.

    Today

    Planning with a longer view

I keep track of the value of my current home as one input in a longer-term plan, alongside affordability, timing and the next chapter I want to build.

My goals

What I’m working towards.

These are planning targets I am working towards, not completed purchases or promises of investment returns.

BY 2031

A home for own stay

Work towards a four-bedroom home in Singapore’s Rest of Central Region.

BY 2035

Build an income portfolio

Work towards three income-producing properties: a five-bedroom EC suited to a student-rental plan near NTU, plus two industrial or commercial units.

Looking ahead

A home to live in. Assets planned with purpose.

My goal is to balance a home for own stay with income-producing property over time. The right pace depends on circumstances, risk and affordability.
